We have had 4 training sessions with a Shepherd who works Welsh Sheepdogs on her farm.  Rose is coming along nicely, but tends to work close to me.  She still needs to grow in confidence with the flock.  She works well with Aubrey and you can see them working together on YouTube.

COMMENTS OF INTEREST:  Rose is a Registered Welsh Sheepdog but will not be working sheep for a living.  She takes & learns “cues” extremely quickly and has already shown her guarding instinct, her independent learning, herding instinct (already herded the cat with the help of Aubrey), has a penetrating bark and has no fear when jumping off the furniture.  She climbed the stairs unaided at 8 weeks old and came down them unaided at 9 weeks old (learnt quickly that she was a goat in disguise).  Is extremely friendly to animals & people.  Prey & Pack Drive seem to go hand in hand, with the Guard Drive not far behind!  Herding sessions at Wilden Farm will continue to keep her instincts strong.
