This website is the inspiration of Kathleen Stubbings, owner of two registered Welsh Sheepdogs and was started in October 2006. She is a member of the Welsh Sheepdog Society and upholds the principals it follows. This website is dedicated to listing all those Welsh Sheepdogs Worldwide, who for some reason, cannot or are not, registered with the Welsh Sheepdog Society, or are registered but have gone to homes that do not work livestock. Most of the dogs listed on these pages would either have been homed from working farms, or bred by dedicated breeders who, like the Welsh Sheepdog Society, wish the breed to continue in it’s own right and the gene pool kept pure. However, accidents happen when owners have multiple breeds. This website is also for those Welsh Cross Sheepdogs.

Instead of herding sheep & cattle, the dogs listed would be active in other areas of work, such as, Obedience, Agility, Working Trials, Flyball, Heelwork to Music and Freestyle training & competition. There are also those out there who work in Rescue or with the Police. They would also be on the Kennel Club’s working register. They also, of course, could just be a fabulous pet!

There may also be Welsh Sheepdogs being worked on farms around the world who are not registered with the Welsh Sheepdog Society. We want to hear about you and have you listed for the World to see what great dogs we all have.

As owners of Welsh Sheepdogs, we know that they work differently to other herding types. We would therefore like to know how you have trained your Welsh Sheepdog, what trials and tribulations you have had, as well as the jubilation. Do you have any working problems, which as a collective of like minded owners, we could help you with through our own experiences?
